Bars & breweries in Des Moines

Bars and breweries are where you go for a drink, a relaxed place to meet friends, or a space for a private gathering. Many offer craft beer, bottled beer, classic and craft cocktails, martinis, non-alcoholic mocktails, happy hour specials, and private event rooms, and some sell gift cards. Before you choose one, ask whether the place takes reservations for groups and what its private event minimums are, since weekend evenings fill up fast. If you have someone in your party who doesn't drink, check that the menu includes mocktails or non-alcoholic beer. Calling ahead on a busy night also tells you whether the kitchen is still serving.
