Childcare & preschool in Scranton

Childcare and preschool businesses look after children while parents work, study or need a few hours to themselves. Many offer infant, toddler, preschool and pre-K classes, school-age care before and after school, and part-time or full-time schedules. Some also accept child care assistance and offer swim lessons. When you compare options, ask about the adult-to-child ratio for your child's age, how staff handle sick days and pickups, and what a typical day looks like. Visit during a busy part of the day if you can, and ask how far in advance openings fill, since spots for infants and popular preschool classes often go quickly.
