Greater Scranton YMCA

Greater Scranton YMCA is a nonprofit that runs family programs across its branches, with a strong focus on early childhood. Its Early Learning Center in Olyphant takes children from six weeks old through preschool age, with separate classrooms for infants, young toddlers, older toddlers and two preschool groups. The programs aim to build social, emotional, language and thinking skills.

Families can register online or at the front desk, and there is a one-time $50 registration fee. Scholarship help is available for families in need through the Y's financial assistance contact. The main Dunmore branch also offers swim lessons, group wellness classes, memberships and birthday parties, and it opens early on weekday mornings.
