Montessori

Discovery Montessori is a Montessori school in the Scranton area with two campuses. The East Mountain campus offers preschool and kindergarten for children aged 3 to 6, while the Providence campus in North Scranton serves children aged 3 to 9 with preschool, kindergarten and early elementary programs. The school blends learning through play with structured lessons to support social, academic, physical and emotional growth.

More than half of students attend at no tuition or reduced tuition through partnerships and government funding, including Pre-K Counts, Preschool Scholarships with United Way, Child Care Works and the Education Improvement Tax Credit program. The school is accredited by the American Montessori Society. The East Mountain campus is reached from I-81 at the River Street or Moosic Street exits, and the Providence campus is on North Main Avenue. The school follows the Scranton School District for weather closings.
