Mother's Tavern

Mother's Tavern is a downtown San Luis Obispo bar and restaurant on Higuera Street, serving gourmet burgers, local beers and craft cocktails. It has been open since 1994 and works as a pub, restaurant and nightclub in one room.

Thursday through Sunday evenings bring the most activity. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights feature a DJ or live band, and Sunday is classic karaoke night, which draws a lot of local singers. There is a happy hour from 4 to 6 pm Thursday through Sunday with $6 cocktails. The bar is closed Monday through Wednesday and on a few holidays, including Christmas Eve and Day and Thanksgiving.
