Coffee & cafés in San Luis Obispo

Coffee shops and cafés are places to get a quick espresso or a slow morning with a laptop, and many also serve pastries, cold brew, matcha or chai for a lighter break. Some pour craft beer or wine in the evening, host small events or hang local art on the walls, so it's worth checking what a given spot offers before you go. In San Luis Obispo, call ahead if you need a group table, a private space for a meeting or a celebration, since busy hours fill up fast. Look at posted hours too, because many cafés close early in the afternoon and some change their schedule for events.
