The story

Yahara Bay is Madison's first distillery, making more than 40 different spirits, including gin, whiskey and vodka, with classic recipes alongside newer ones. The team says it uses local ingredients and builds each batch with care, with a nod to Wisconsin heritage in the flavors.

The retail counter and cocktail bar are open Thursday from 4 PM to 8 PM and Friday and Saturday from 5 PM, with tours by appointment. Curbside ordering is available, and the distillery also offers contract distilling and event space. The distillery is at 6250 Nesbitt Rd in Madison.
