Genna's Cocktail Lounge

Genna's Cocktail Lounge is a downtown Madison bar that has been around since 1964, when Frank Genna opened it on University Avenue. It moved to its current spot on West Main Street in 1993 and is still family-owned and operated. The lounge is known for its cocktails, a happy hour after work, and a Bloody Mary bar on Saturday mornings after the farmers' market.

The building is a polychromatic brick flatiron that the Madison Landmarks Commission recognized as the only known commercial building in the city in the Gothic Revival style. There is an upstairs room that is good on snowy nights and a patio for warmer months. Genna's sits on Capitol Square, and it is open daily from 2 PM until 1 AM, with the Saturday morning hours starting at 10 AM.
