Small-batch Oregon and Washington wines in Bend's Box Factory550 SW Industrial Way, Suite 194, Bend, OR

This tasting room pours small-batch wines made from Oregon and Washington grapes, with about 20 on the list. The range runs from delicate Pinot noirs and crisp whites to sparkling wines, rosé and big reds such as Syrah, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. Pinot noir is the house specialty, and many of the bottles come from the winery's own Black Dog Vineyard in Carlton. Craft beers and ciders from the Pacific Northwest are also poured.
Visits are first come, first served, with no reservations except for event rentals, which can be arranged by email. The room is open Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday afternoons, with later hours on Friday and Saturday, and it is closed Monday and Tuesday. It sits in the Box Factory near the Old Mill, across from Jackstraw Apartments and Shops, and the owner and winemaker, Mark Proden, founded the winery in 2008.
