BackDrop Distilling is a craft spirits distillery that makes vodka, rum and gin, and its vodka has won international medals, including a double gold, silver and bronze award. The distillery takes its name from the idea of creating your own backdrop, and it is known for custom cocktail recipes built around its bottles. Its still is a steam-jacketed copper still from Germany, installed by founder Mark Plants.
BackDrop is located inside GoodLife Brewing in Bend, Oregon, which the company says was the first distillery inside a brewery in Oregon. Bottles can be picked up at locations listed on the website or ordered by mail, and private tours can be scheduled. The site is restricted to visitors 21 and older.
