Kate Kinney, LCSW

Kate Kinney is a licensed clinical social worker and EMDR therapist whose practice centers on EMDR intensives, extended trauma therapy sessions for adults who feel stuck in long-standing patterns or burnout. She also works from an attachment lens, combining EMDR with ego state, somatic and cognitive approaches. Her credentials include EMDRIA certification and training in ego state therapy, complex trauma and DBT skills.

Intensives are a set block of focused time rather than a weekly hour, so clients can go deeper into material that is hard to reach in standard sessions. Kate works with clients in South Portland, Maine, at 22 Cottage Road, and also offers therapy online. Her practice has been open since 2020, and she is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
