SLO Food Co-op

SLO Food Co-op is a community-owned grocery store in San Luis Obispo, operating since 1979. The co-op emphasizes local farms and purveyors, along with eco-conscious producers and fair trade businesses, and its shelves reflect that focus on supporting small local businesses.

The store is open seven days a week from 8am to 8pm. Owners get periodic discounts, including appreciation days with sales on bulk and produce, and the co-op runs a 2% Tuesdays program that gives 2% of each Tuesday's sales to local nonprofits. A personal shopping service lets customers bring a list to the door and have staff shop for them. The co-op is at Victoria Avenue on the east side of town.
