Cool Cat Cafe

Cool Cat Cafe is a 1950s-style diner known for hand-pattied burgers made from fresh ingredients and cooked to order. The recipe traces back to Yazoo's, a hamburger stand that father and son Steve and Sean Corpuel started in the late 1980s before Cool Cat opened in San Luis Obispo in 1992. A burger of the month rotates on the menu, and the homemade food carries a nostalgic Happy Days feel.

The San Luis Obispo location is open Monday through Saturday. Online ordering is available, and gift cards can be bought and balances checked on the website. Sister locations in Pismo Beach, Kihei and Ka'anapali on Maui serve the same burger, and the restaurant is meant as a gathering spot for families and friends.
