CAPSLO

CAPSLO is the Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County, a nonprofit that runs programs for families, seniors, veterans, people experiencing homelessness and households needing help with utility bills. Its offerings include Head Start and early education and child care, an adult day center for seniors with Alzheimer's and other dementia, homeless services at 40 Prado, home energy efficiency and minor home repair, and support for veteran families.

The main office is on Southwood Drive in San Luis Obispo, and the organization runs a family resource center network and a program directory covering several counties. Individuals can donate, volunteer or ask for help through the main line at 805-544-4355 or the CAPSLO Hotline, which is staffed by designated personnel. Donations of stocks, vehicles and retail gift cards are also accepted.
