Assistance League

Assistance League of San Luis Obispo County is an all-volunteer nonprofit that provides new school clothing to students in need through its Operation School Bell program. The group also runs an Access to Career Education scholarship program and operates a thrift store that helps fund its work.

The organization reports serving more than 2,100 students in the most recent year, with volunteers logging thousands of hours. Donations of clothing and funds are central to its work, and the thrift store is a regular stop for neighbors looking for secondhand goods. The office and thrift store are on Marsh Street in downtown San Luis Obispo.
