Slate Studio is a booth rental hair salon in Portland, Maine. Each stylist on the team works as an independent business owner, setting their own hours, prices and appointments, and the salon is run in a hands-off way so stylists can do their own work. The owners, Keith and Harmony Bidwell, also run a second salon, Apotheosis Salon, which they opened in 2017.
Appointments are booked through the website, and the salon is open by appointment only. Slate Studio opened in April 2021 and describes its space as bright, airy and full of plants.
