Boone's Fish House & Oyster Room

Boone's Fish House & Oyster Room is a seafood restaurant on Portland's working waterfront, known for its baked stuffed lobster, which the restaurant says Alexander Boone invented when he opened in 1898. The menu also features fresh Maine oysters from the raw bar, grilled fish, steaks and daily features, along with beer, wine and cocktails.

The restaurant has two outdoor decks overlooking the harbor, where guests can watch lobster boats come in, and dining rooms and bars indoors. Reservations for parties of eight or more are made by phone or through Resy, and the restaurant does not take bookings through social media. Gift cards are sold in the restaurant and online. The second-floor Oyster Room is available for weddings, corporate events and private parties. The restaurant is at 86 Commercial Street on Custom House Wharf.
