WYSO is a youth music organization that runs several full orchestras, two string orchestras, a chamber music program, a harp program, a percussion ensemble, a brass choir program and the WYSO Music Makers program. It was founded in 1966 by Professor Marvin Rabin of the University of Wisconsin-Extension and has taken part in its programs more than 5,000 young musicians from communities across southern Wisconsin.

The organization is a not-for-profit supported by donations and sponsorships. Its WYSO Center for Music is at 1118 E. Washington Ave. in Madison.
