DreamBikes

DreamBikes is a nonprofit bike shop that refurbishes used bicycles and resells them at affordable prices. Its teen employees, working with local youth organizations, learn to refurbish bikes, use the point-of-sale system and serve customers in paid job training. The shop also sells parts and accessories and has returned more than 25,000 used bikes to the community.

Bikes, components and accessories can be bought in the store, and some listings are sold through an eBay shop. Mobile repair is available in Madison, with the repair van coming to a scheduled time and location, and appointments are booked by calling or texting. The Madison shop on North Sherman Avenue is closed Sunday and Monday and open afternoons Tuesday through Friday and on Saturday mornings and afternoons. A second location is in Milwaukee.
