Wakonda Club

Wakonda Club is a private, member-owned golf and country club founded in 1922. Its 18-hole course was designed by William Langford and overlooks downtown Des Moines, with mature trees and hills that change the way each round plays. The club also has clay tennis courts, a multi-pool aquatics area and a clubhouse dining room that serves locally sourced food, house-made desserts and pasta.

Members and their guests use the clubhouse for everything from casual al fresco meals and Sunday dinners to private events, with more than a dozen indoor room combinations available after a recent renovation. Wakonda sits just minutes from Downtown Des Moines in a historic residential neighborhood, at 3915 Fleur Drive. Tennis options include open play, clinics, leagues and pickleball.
