Ruan Transportation Management Systems

Ruan is a logistics and trucking company that provides dedicated contract transportation, managed transportation, warehousing and fulfillment, freight brokerage, and customs brokerage. Its roots go back to 1932, when John Ruan started hauling gravel, and the company has since grown into a national supply chain provider. Ruan works with manufacturers, food producers, and state agencies, including a branded dedicated fleet for Do it Best and distribution of alcohol for the State of Iowa.

Ruan's customers include Charter Steel, Seneca Foods, and Vital Farms, among others. The company runs its own fleet and also draws on a network of carrier partners for freight brokerage. Customs brokerage covers shipments across the U.S. and Mexican borders. The headquarters address is 666 Grand Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa, and the company also recruits drivers and technicians through its Des Moines campus.
