Baker Electric

Baker Electric is a full-service electrical contractor based in Des Moines, working on commercial, industrial, government, school and residential projects across Iowa. Its work ranges from network cabling and fiber optics to traffic signals, underground installations and parking lot lighting. The company is also known for energy audits, LEED certification and lighting retrofits.

The service department runs around the clock, every day of the week, and calls are answered by a person rather than a machine. Technicians are usually on site within an hour, which makes the 24-hour line useful for emergencies as well as scheduled repairs. Baker Electric also handles design-build work and prefabricates components in its own 100,000-square-foot shop to shorten project schedules.
