Horizon Line Coffee

Horizon Line Coffee is a coffee bar and roastery in the West End Artist District of downtown Des Moines. Two friends from Southern California started it with a focus on good coffee and caring for others. The menu centers on espresso drinks such as lattes, cappuccinos and the Gibraltar, along with batch-brewed filter coffee, cold brew steeped for nearly 24 hours, and a spicy chai from Sanctuary Chai.

The shop sources traceable, ethically bought coffees and puts effort into coffee education and a space where people from different backgrounds can become friends. Some espresso drinks, including the Gibraltar, are served for-here only. Milk options include whole, almond and oat, and the flavored syrups, including vanilla, caramel and mocha, are made in-house. The shop is on Walnut Street in downtown Des Moines.
