Allegory Salon & Chapter 2

Allegory Salon specializes in hair extensions, hair enhancement and nonsurgical hair replacement, with custom hair solutions matched to hair type, goals and lifestyle. Several extension systems are offered, including Invisible Weft, cold fusion K-tip and mesh integration, along with custom color designed to work with extensions. Men's hair systems are handled in Chapter 2, a private second-floor suite where Dan Frye works with men's hair systems, including color blending for gray and aftercare at home.

The salon is on East Locust Street in Des Moines' East Village, near the Capitol, with covered parking in the adjacent garage. Free consultations can be booked in person or by text, and appointments can be booked online. Pricing is based on parts and labor, so the cost of hair, color and time is quoted separately. Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the day and Tuesday and Thursday until 8 PM, with weekends closed.
