Outdoor recreation in Austin

Outdoor recreation businesses help you get onto the water or into the outdoors without owning the gear. Many offer kayak and paddleboard rentals, guided tours, rowing lessons, and group or team-building outings, so you can try an activity once before committing to it. Before you book, ask whether the price includes life jackets, paddles, and a short safety orientation, and whether beginners get a guide or instruction. If you plan to go on a weekend or during peak season in Austin, reserve ahead, since popular time slots and group bookings fill up quickly.
