Karate International Of Apex/Cary

Karate International of Apex teaches martial arts to preschoolers, kids, teens and adults, with Kendo classes for teens and adults and birthday parties for children. Wade Houston, an 8th degree black belt in Sanshinkai Karate, started the school in 1994 to give students a safe, fun place to study the martial arts. Classes focus on self defense along with focus, discipline and respect.

Classes are held in person, and parents are welcome to watch their children's lessons or join the adult classes. Adults don't need to be fit to start, and students move toward black belt at their own pace with no fixed timeline. Space in the training area is limited, so the school asks people to sign up through its online form or call the studio in Apex.
