The Iowa Quilt Block is a quilting and sewing shop that stocks fabric by many well-known designers, including Tilda, Riley Blake and Wilmington, along with batting, notions, patterns and books. The shop also sells sewing machines from Bernina, Bernette and Husqvarna Viking, and carries Handi Quilter longarms, machine feet and accessories, and sewing tables.
The shop offers machine repair and troubleshooting, a longarm rental service, and a class calendar. Gift cards and gift certificates are available. Store hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 4pm, and the shop is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Shipping is free on orders over $99, excluding Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The shop is on 5th Street in West Des Moines.
