Architectural Concepts

Architectural Concepts is a Staten Island stained and leaded glass firm, run by owner-operator William Butt, that has been in business since 1986. The studio builds new stained, leaded, beveled and art glass windows and restores older pieces, including work for museums, churches and synagogues. Its services also cover carved, sandblasted and etched glass, mirror work, custom glass cabinet doors and lamps, and architectural consultations for renovations.

Most new projects start with a visit to the site, where the studio brings a portfolio and glass samples to plan the design, privacy, light and glass type before a cost and timeline are agreed. The business works by appointment only from its studio on West Fingerboard Road, and calls to the studio line should include a callback number. Jobs range from a small cabinet insert to a large window.
