FIELD THEORY

Field Theory is an outdoor mercantile in Saint Louis that sells clothing, footwear and gear for time spent outside. The shop also leads group hikes, runs a run club and hosts music events, and publishes research and reports on subjects such as caves and karst, mycology and trail running.

The store is at 8153 Big Bend Boulevard in Webster Groves, with weekday hours that run until 7 PM and shorter hours on weekends. Group hikes are booked through a sign-up, and the newsletter and Instagram account carry upcoming events. Field Theory also has a Discord community for members who want to stay in touch between visits.
