Benny Gordon Recreation Center

Benny Gordon Recreation Center is the city-run recreation complex in Webster Groves, with a fitness center, aquatic center, ice rink, tennis center and action park. The complex is named for Benny Gordon, a local business owner who helped open the city's Memorial Pool to all residents in 1953.

Residents get lower rates with a $5 ID card, which requires photo identification and proof of residency, and families need that card to buy aquatic or tennis season passes. Four meeting rooms totaling 3,200 square feet can be rented separately or combined, and a large catering kitchen is available. The gymnasium can be rented at full or half capacity for basketball, volleyball or other soft-equipment sports, with requests made at least seven days ahead. Call for availability and rates, and nonprofits based in Webster Groves may get reduced fees.
