First Atlantic Healthcare runs a network of nursing, skilled rehabilitation, long-term care and assisted living centers across Maine. The company was founded in 1985 by Ronald C. Coffin and now manages more than 20 facilities statewide, alongside consulting and management services. Its work centers on individualized care and on training and growing its own staff.

Families can reach the South Portland office on Waterman Drive to find the right center and the services it offers. Facilities are spread from Saco to Caribou and downeast to Machias, so residents can often be cared for close to home. Work is underway to update the physical buildings the company manages.
