Misty Meadows Farm Creamery

Misty Meadows Farm Creamery makes ice cream and sells creamline milk from its own cows, on farmland the Herbst family has worked since 1920. The on-farm creamery opened in spring 2012, and the family has run it since. Ice cream goes straight from the farm's dairy to the cone, which is the main draw for most visitors.

The farm has pedal tractors, a play area and farm animals, so many families make a full afternoon of it. Birthdays and other events can be hosted at the creamery, or the ice cream trailer can be booked to come to your event. Farm tours are offered. The creamery is open most afternoons, closed Mondays and Wednesdays, and it's in Smithsburg, Maryland.
