The Marketplace at Steamtown

The Marketplace at Steamtown is a mixed-use complex in downtown Scranton that combines retail shops, lifestyle services, professional offices, dining and entertainment under one roof. Its best-known draw is the Scranton Public Market on the second floor, a food court area with a variety of local vendors and views over the Steamtown Historic Site. Tenants range from Boscov's and Crunch Fitness to a college extension center and a tax office.

The building works well for a weekday errand or an after-work workout, and weekends bring indoor entertainment, local food and community events. Visitors can spend an afternoon at the E.C. Aquarium & Reptile Den, catch a concert or let the kids climb. Parking is in an on-site covered garage with validation available. Some businesses, including the dentist and Dress For Success, keep different hours or work by appointment, so check before you go.
