City of Scranton

City of Scranton is the municipal government for the city, with departments covering public works, refuse and recycling, parks and recreation, building permits, stormwater management and parking. Residents and contractors use its services to pay bills, find forms and applications, and check city contracts and open bid opportunities. Permit applications and payment of fees and bills can be handled online.

The city's main office is in Scranton, and the government lists non-emergency phone lines for the police department, fire headquarters and animal control for questions that do not need an emergency response. Information on rental licensing, business startup steps and community food resources is also published for people living and working in the city.
