Katie's Place Clubhouse

Katie's Place Clubhouse is a community clubhouse for people living with mental illness, built around friendship, recovery and shared work. Members and staff run the day together through a structured Work-Ordered Day that covers cooking, clerical work, outreach and organizing events. The program also includes transitional and supportive employment placements, tutoring and computer access for members pursuing a GED, college courses or new skills.

Membership is the way in, and members are welcomed into daily lunches, holiday parties, game nights, walking clubs and creative workshops. The clubhouse is at 247 Penn Ave in Scranton and is open weekdays during daytime hours, closed on weekends. Members describe it as a safe place free from judgment.
