IBEW Local 81

IBEW Local 81 is the Scranton local of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, a union of electricians. Its core work is training and representing the trade: it runs the electrical apprenticeship program through a joint apprenticeship committee, and it works with local contractors under a labor-management partnership. The local also publishes a Code of Excellence for its members and a local newsletter.

People interested in joining can start with the membership application or the apprenticeship application, which includes an aptitude test. Contractors with a project can submit details through the local's website. Members log in there to update their contact and dues information. The office is on Wyoming Avenue in Scranton.
