MYLR Books & Gallery

MYLR is a bookstore and art gallery in San Luis Obispo that focuses on art, architecture and design. The shop stocks books on art, culture and architecture, many of which are hard to find outside major cities, and the gallery shows new and emerging artists alongside more established work. Owner Andrew Goodwin named the business after mylar, the drafting paper he used while training to become an architect.

The gallery hosts exhibitions, programs and events throughout the year, and the shop is open weekdays. The bookstore was the sole bookstore partner for the Monterey Design Conference at Asilomar, which points to its close ties with the design community. Artists and authors use the space to show their latest work to a wider audience.
