About Claiborne & Churchill Vintners

The story

Claiborne & Churchill is a small, family-owned winery in the Edna Valley just outside San Luis Obispo. It is known for premium dry wines inspired by Alsace, especially Riesling, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Gris, along with handcrafted Pinot Noir and Syrah from several Edna Valley vineyards. The winery also makes smaller lots of Chardonnay, dry rosé and a port-style wine.

Tastings are open daily from 11 AM to 5 PM, with reservations recommended and walk-ins welcome. The winery hosts private events, and members of its wine club get access to limited production wines and exclusive events. The winery is at 2649 Carpenter Canyon Road in San Luis Obispo.
