Mission Community Woodshop

Mission Community Woodshop is a nonprofit woodshop in central San Francisco, equipped for fine furniture making and used by students, hobbyists and professional woodworkers alike. The shop offers classes ranging from introductory to advanced, and members rent a bench with storage for projects, lumber and hand tools.

Pricing follows a sliding scale for both students and members, so some people pay more and others less, and the shop asks anyone for whom the lowest class price is still a stretch to reach out about additional discounts. Drop-ins are welcome and the shop will give tours. The shop also works with schools, community organizations and businesses on group experiences, and gift cards are available.
