Building Resources of San Francisco

Building ReSources of San Francisco is a nonprofit reuse center that salvages building materials and resells them at low prices. Its stock covers appliances, cabinets, doors, windows, lumber, garden items and other building components, along with some carefully chosen antiques. The goal is to keep usable materials out of the landfill and give them a second life.

The center sits on a nearly three-quarter acre lot at 701 Amador Street in San Francisco's Bayview area, where donations are accepted during donation hours and displays are arranged so shoppers can browse. An onsite garden and buildings built largely from reused materials show project ideas in person. The site also hosts events such as workshops, art exhibits and an occasional outdoor show, and it is open seven days a week.
