The Artist Outpost

The Artist Outpost is an art and pottery studio in Ocean Beach, San Diego, with weekly classes for kids and adults in painting, drawing, stained glass, crafts, resin, and pottery wheel throwing. Founded in 2018 by Meryl and Eryn, the studio also runs school-break camps, pottery workshops, and one- and two-day creative retreats.

Classes come as multi-week courses, one-time workshops, and open studio memberships for independent artists. Most workshops include all materials, and private parties for birthdays, showers, and reunions can be built around art or pottery, with guests welcome to bring their own food and drinks. Camps follow the San Diego Unified school calendar, and gift cards let recipients pick their own class.
