Seafood in San Diego

Seafood restaurants help you find a meal built around fish and shellfish, whether you want a casual lunch or a sit-down dinner. Many offer grilled fish plates, fish tacos, steamed mussels and clams, fisherman's stew, and salads topped with grilled fish, and some also have a kids menu, breakfast, takeout and craft beer. Menus vary a lot, so check what each place serves before you go. When choosing one, look at the menu online or call ahead to confirm the day's fresh catch, since specials often change with supply. If you are visiting with children or a larger group, ask whether the kitchen takes reservations or tends to fill up at peak hours. For takeout, ask how long the order will take so you can plan your timing.
