Mitch's Sea Food

Mitch's Seafood is a casual waterfront restaurant serving fresh seafood from the waters off San Diego, with a menu built around grilled fish plates, chilled and steamed seafood, and a fisherman's stew of mussels, clams, squid, market fish and shrimp in tomato-white wine broth. The restaurant was started in 2008 by three families with a long history of fishing in the Point Loma area, and most of its fish is caught by them or by fishermen they know.

It is on the Point Loma Sportfishing Dock at 1403 Scott Street, with a view of the fishing fleet. Indoor and outdoor dining are both available, and reservations are not taken because of demand. Takeout is offered for pickup, but takeout food has to be eaten off the premises, and delivery is not available. Craft beer from San Diego breweries and wine from California vineyards are served, and service animals are welcome while pets are not.
