PNNL

PNNL's Portland Research Center is the Portland office of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, a Department of Energy lab managed by Battelle. The staff here focus on building systems research and operation for energy efficiency, integrating distributed energy resources to strengthen grid resilience, and energy integration policy, including building energy codes and equipment standards.

The office aims to strengthen collaboration with energy science, technology, policy and efficiency organizations across Portland and Oregon, and to give the lab access to local talent. It is a research office rather than a walk-in business. The MAX light rail stops about half a block away, and visitors can park in the Smart Park garage a block from the office.
