Meet Goodwill

Meet Goodwill is the Portland-area arm of Goodwill Industries of the Columbia Willamette, which runs retail thrift stores, higher-end boutiques and by-the-pound outlets across Oregon and southwest Washington. Its stated mission is to provide vocational opportunities to people with disabilities and others facing barriers to employment, and the proceeds from donated goods fund free job search services and career skills training.

People can donate household goods through a pickup service or at donation drop-off locations, and shop for used items, books, movies and music at the stores. The organization's headquarters and main Portland location is at 1943 SE Sixth Avenue, in the Buckman neighborhood, with many other stores across the region. Online, shoppers can find used and rare books through a separate bookstore site and bid on collectibles through an online auction site.
