Scales is a dinner restaurant on Maine Wharf in Portland, serving an autumn menu alongside a list of wine, beer and cocktails. Desserts and after-dinner drinks round out the evening, and menus are subject to change.

Reservations can be made up to two calendar months ahead, and a limited number of tables are held for walk-ins each evening, with names taken at the door from 4:00 pm, seven days a week. Bar seating is by reservation for dinner only, and patio seating depends on the weather; if plans change, the restaurant calls guests on the day of the booking. Only complete parties are seated for now. Complimentary valet parking is offered during reservation times. Gift cards can be bought by phone or in person every day starting at 10 am.
