Portland Food Co-op

Portland Food Co-op is a member-owned grocery store that carries groceries, bulk foods, meat, dairy, frozen items, beer and wine, and health and beauty products. It prioritizes local and organic products and features over 200 Maine farmers and producers, while also carrying a wide assortment of other items.

The store is open to the public, and shoppers do not need to become members to buy. Profits go toward caring for staff, building the co-op's equity, and developing the local food economy. Gift cards and membership options are available, and the store is open every day from 8 AM to 9 PM at 290 Congress Street.
