Mainely Maps sells original antique maps and prints from the 16th to 20th century, including large canvas wall maps, schoolhouse relief maps, topographical maps and atlas maps from around the world. The gallery also offers reproductions of over 700,000 maps on acid-free paper for buyers who want a historic map without the original price. Its custom framing department uses archival, acid-free materials for antique maps, prints and other valuable artwork.

The shop is on Congress Street in Portland, and visitors can stop in for a framing consultation without an appointment. The business also handles residential and commercial picture hanging and installation across the Greater Portland area, and it has been in business since 1995.
