Seasonal bistro menu with Mexican influences and Old World wines79 Portland St., Portland, ME

Isa Bistro is a neighborhood bistro serving an eclectic, seasonally driven menu influenced by the places its owners have lived and the food they love. The menu leans on Isaul Perez's Mexican heritage, with dishes like grilled octopus, crispy taquitos, house cut fries and tagliatelle bolognese, and a wine list from Suzie Perez, a certified sommelier, that favors Old World wines. The kitchen has earned a 2023 James Beard semifinalist nod for Best Chef Northeast.
Dinner runs daily from 4 to 9 PM, with weekend brunch on Friday and Saturday and closed on Tuesdays. Indoor tables and bar seats can be reserved up to 30 days ahead for parties of up to eight, and the bar is first come, first served for walk-ins. Takeout and curbside pickup are available by phone or online, and gift certificates can be bought in person or by phone. The seasonal patio is open roughly June through October, weather permitting, but it is not dog friendly.
