Evo is a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant that pairs Maine ingredients with bold, bright flavors. The menu is built around dishes meant to be shared, including hummus and muhammara spreads, chickpea fries, seared halloumi, shakshuka, Moroccan carrots, NY strip steak and lamb ribs, with a cocktail and wine list to match. Many dishes are vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free.
The room has seating at the bar, a chef's counter and a mezzanine table, and the mezzanine can be booked for half or full evening buyouts of up to 25 guests. Dinner is served Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday from 4 to 8:30 PM and Friday and Saturday until 9 PM, with happy hour Tuesday through Friday from 4 to 6 PM. Evo is on Fore Street in Portland's Old Port.
